Al Jazeera Private University (Faculty of Informatics Engineering), in cooperation with the branch of the National Union of Syrian Students, organized a scientific visit for the students of the faculty to the headquarters of the Syrian Scientific Informatics Society, on Monday 4/9/2018. The supervisors of the visit accompanied the students to the data center in the association. Where the students were briefed on the most important services provided by the data center in the field of information security and storage according to the highest approved international standards, in addition to reviewing the infrastructure and advanced equipment in the data center. The data center project manager explained that this center will provide great and quality services to the public and private sectors in The areas of data storage, hosting servers, and the possibility of managing each company’s databases remotely with ease. The students were also briefed about the training center in the Informatics Association and the training courses offered by the training center in the association, including the International Computer Driving License.
The students were accompanied on this visit by the Dean of the College of Informatics Engineering, Dr. Firas Al-Zein and the Secretary of the University, Eng. Hammam Homsi.
