Memorandum of Understanding between Al-Jazirah Private University and the General Sports Federation.

Al Jazeera Private University signed with the General Sports Federation a memorandum of understanding to develop joint cooperation in the fields of research, training, development and dissemination of knowledge, on Sunday 14/10/2018 in the presence of Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sheikh Issa, President of the University, Major General Muwaffaq Jumaa, President of the General Sports Federation, and Dr. Maher Khayyat, Vice President The General Sports Federation and Dr. Dima Barakat (a faculty member at Al Jazeera Private University)

The memorandum stipulates that the two teams jointly organize workshops, conferences and competitions for students to help choose projects of interest to the General Sports Federation, with the aim of selecting distinguished competencies and encouraging students and motivating them for creativity and achievement. Their admission to the university in granting sports excellence offered by the university according to the principles approved in its regulations.

The memorandum enters into force after its approval and remains valid for a period of 3 years and is renewed in writing by the agreement of the two parties on this. Integration between the scientific and practical fields and encouragement of sports, especially in the age group between 18 and 24 years.

Major General Mowaffaq Jumaa, President of the General Sports Federation, stressed the importance of the agreement in strengthening cooperation frameworks with scientific edifices, and that it comes in implementation of the recommendations of the Ninth General Conference of the Sports Federation, expressing his hope that it will contribute to the development of the sports work system and benefit from the competencies and cadres at Al Jazira Private University.
