University Admission Regulations

Students who are holders of the Syrian secondary certificate or its equivalent who meet the admission requirements, regardless of the date of obtaining the secondary certificate, will be accepted according to the following schedule:

(83%) Industrial Secondary Specialization: (Computer Technology - Operating Systems and Programming - Computer Networks - Computer Maintenance) Equivalent to a total of 3569 marks

Business Administration

-

56% (scientific branch) equivalent to a total of 1344 marks

 

56% (literary branch) equivalent to the total of 1232 marks

 

63% (commercial secondary) equivalent to a total of 2772 marks

 

 

  • The rate is calculated in the Syrian secondary certificate after closing the religious education mark and choosing one of the two foreign languages.
  • Students are accepted after a differentiation between them according to the sequence of their grades in secondary school
  • These rates are based on the acceptance of non-Syrian secondary schools according to the percentage, and after the closure of the sign of religious education, attendance and art education.

 

  1. Graduates of intermediate institutes who wish to complete their studies at the university will be admitted according to the following conditions:
  2. The student`s average at the institute must be good without considering his average in the secondary certificate.
  3. If his / her average in the secondary certificate is equal to the rates mentioned in Table /1/ The student is accepted without looking to the rate of the Institute's certificate.
  4. The specialization in the certificate of the Institute must be suitable with the specialization in which he/she wishes to register at the College.

 

  1. The university bachelor's degree is accepted according to the following conditions:
  1. His/ Her average in  university bachelor's degree must be good at least.
  2. If His/ Her average in the secondary certificate is equal to the rates mentioned in Table /1/.The student is accepted without looking to the average of university bachelor's degree.
  3. Students wishing to transfer from another university (governmental or private within or outside Syria) will be accepted according to the following conditions:
  1. The average in the secondary certificate should be equal to the rates mentioned in Table (1).
  2. The university should be accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education if it is from outside Syria.
  3. The specialization in the transferred university should be equivalent to the specialization in which he/she wishes to enroll in the faculty (in case the specialization is not equivalent ,the student is accepted and the courses will have equation according to the instructions of the Ministry of Higher Education .
  4. The student should be successful to the second year in the university transferred from or completed for (25 credit hours) in the case of the university from outside the country, However, if the student achieves the required secondary level in the transfer year, he/she will be accepted without considering the number of hours he/she has completed at the transferred university(according to other conditions in accordance with the decisions of the Ministry of Higher Education).
  5. The equation of courses completed by the graduate student from one of the intermediate institutes or faculties or transferred from another university should be in accordance with the rules  determined by the Ministry of Higher Education. The student should present a certified detection of degrees and description of the courses from his/her institute or his/her previous university.

4-Change of enrollment: (ie changing the student's courses from one faculty to another, for example: from the Faculty of Engineering to the College of Pharmacy)

1-The enrollment of the student at the same university or from  a governmental or private Syrian university  may be  changed to other private Syrian university,  Or from a governmental or private non-Syrian university accredited by the Syrian Ministry of Higher Education.

2- The student must achieve the condition of the average in the secondary certificate in the year of admission to the private university in the specialization he/she wants to change the enrollment to.

The courses studied by the student in the previous specialization will have equation according to the instructions of the Ministry of Higher Education in this regard.

Documents required for registration at the university:

* If the secondary school certificate is Syrian:

1- Primary secondary certificate.

2- (3) Certified copies of secondary certificate

3- Copy of personal identity + passport photo (if any).

4- (6) colored personal pictures 3X 4 (only two pictures for females).

* If the secondary school certificate is not Syrian:

1-The original secondary certificate + the original middle school certificate (certified by the Syrian embassy in the country giving the certificate).

2- (3) Pictures of the secondary certificate certified by the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a certified copy of the middle school certificate.

3- A copy of the personal ID + a copy of the passport

4-(6) colored personal pictures 3X 4 (only two pictures for females).
